Chaucer’s loss range

LLOYD’S insurer Chaucer has widened the range of its predicted loss for its non-marine syndicate 1096 for the 1999 year of account, writes Richard Banks, London.The managing agent is now predicting a loss of between 10% and 20% of capacity, which was �66m ($92.5m) for 1999. Previous forecasts put the loss between 5% and 13%.
