Kemper buys renewal rights to Superior National

LONG GROVE - The Kemper Insurance Companies and the California Department ofInsurance have finalised an agreement allowing Kemper to acquire the renewalrights of the five Superior National Insurance Companies in conservation."Superior business and producers provide Kemper with a unique businessopportunity to acquire the renewal rights to a major book of Californiabusiness on a profitable basis," said John Pasqualetto, senior vicepresident of the Kemper Insurance Companies. At the same time, Kemper hasfinalised its agreement with the California Insurance Guarantee Association(CIGA) to act as a third party administrator for certain National Claimscovered by CIGA and Superior.
