Underwriter and Chartwell sign agreement

LONDON - Newly formed The Underwriter Insurance Company has signed anagreement with Chartwell Underwriting which will see The Underwriterassume the lead position of Chartwell Underwriting's Regional GeneralLiability portfolio. Under the deal, which is due to come into effectfrom February 1 this year, Lloyd's syndicate 839 - David Marshall &Others - will continue to lead Chartwell Underwriting's RegionalProfessional Liability portfolio and retain a significantparticipation in the regional general business.
