Gothaer seizes the IT challenge

COLOGNE - German insurer Gothaer Versicherungsbank, has launched aspecial liability cover for IT companies in response to theincreasingly complex risks facing the sector. "Rapid technicalchanges in IT have produced new liabilities," said Gothaer's MichaelK�hn. "Our new product is especially designed for thesecircumstances." The basic policy covers a client's general liability,plus consequential loss insurance for software and web design,personal and material damage for hardware, and a cover for accidentalloss or deletion of foreign data. The policy is aimed primarily athardware and software producers and dealers, as well as web pagedesigners.
