AGF's reports income rise
PARIS - French insurance group AGF announced yesterday a 26.6% rise in its consolidated premium income for the year ending
September 31, 1998, to Fr66.45bn. In the French non-life sector, AGF saw business rise 56.5% to Fr22.8bn, although
the group said personal lines had fallen by around 2.2%, in line with the market generally. Outside France, AGF's
premium income for the 1997/98 year was Fr20.5bn, a rise of 29%, due mainly to the group's consolidation of Athena and
Royal Nederland.
