AGF and Credit Lyonnais in SME distribution deal

Paris - France's Credit Lyonnais and AGF have joined forces to provide insurance to small and medium-sized (SME) companies. Under the deal, Credit Lyonnais will expand the range of AGF products it offers to its SME customers. The bank already offers AGF commercial lines, employee benefit and group health products to these clients, but intends to include other products of interest to SMEs such as property damage, liability and group insurance for employees. Trials have been done in two French regions and the two organisations are now looking to distribute the products through Credit Lyonnais' nation-wide branch network as of early 2000.
