Salvage Association appoints chief executive
LONDON - The Salvage Association (SA), the world's largest marine casualty surveying organisation, has appointed Roy Padgett
as its first chief executive. His appointment is the next stage of a review of SA's operations which aims to allow
the association "to take a more pragmatic and commercial view" of what it can offer, and to give added-value service
to underwriters and the shipping community. Michael Ellis, general manager of SA since 1986, has announced he is leaving
the association at the end of the month.
