Assubel to shed 400 staff in Belgium
AGF‘S Belgian unit, Assubel, said it is planning to shed 400 staff by the end of 2000 as part of a restructuring to correct
weak profitability, writes Nigel Tutt, Brussels. Trade union representatives at Belgium‘s fifth largest insurer were told
that the company has seen its market share drop to 6% from 9% five years ago.
