IN July 1997, the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) published their report on Fatal Injuries in Farming, Forestry and Horticulture 1996-1997. Not only does the report summarise reportable fatal injuries in the agricultural, forestry and associated industries, but also the non-fatal injuries for the period 1986-87 to 1994-95. The report details only those incidents investigated by inspectors from the Field Operations Directorate of the HSE.
