Stuttgarter outperforming

GERMAN insurer Stuttgarter has outperformed the rest of the market in 1997. The group, headed by life mutual Stuttgarter Lebensversicherung
AG, Stuttgart, expects a 4.6% increase in premium income in 1997 to Dm1.2bn ($666m), compared with an anticipated growth of
2.5% for the German market as a whole. For 1998 the group is confident that it will achieve “continuous growth” in all lines.
