Insurance Day
Cut-off date means cut-off date in scheme of arrangement
By Chris Galyer
IN Kempe v Ambassador Insurance (November 19, 1997, unreported) the Privy Council has made clear that if a scheme of arrangement
imposes strict time limits for the submission of appeals against claims previously rejected by the scheme administrator, and,
indeed, for the filing of the original claims, the court has no jurisdiction to extend such time limits.
