RAIN stopped play at Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Club again yesterday, bringing misery to fans queueing for tickets, pictured right, and bringing back bad memories for insurer Direct Line, which sponsored last week's tournament at East-bourne, which was not completed because of bad weather, writes Chris Quick.

Despite the disruption caused to the tournament, Direct Line escaped having to repay those attending, on the grounds that tennis was played every day.
