LLOYD‘S of London chairman David Rowland (right) yesterday became the sixteenth person to be awarded a gold medal for services to Lloyd‘s.
The medal was presented to him by a Lloyd‘s deputy chairman, John Stace (left), during a ceremony in the underwriting room
at Lloyd‘s at which the Lutine Bell was struck twice, signifying good news. Mr Stace said: “David Rowland has led Lloyd‘s
through its darkest hours with extraordinary courage and tenacity.”
