A FEW weeks ago this page carried a story on the concept of the “data warehouse”.
One insurer now going down this route is Sun Alliance, which has just announced it is to replace its information management
system running on an IBM mainframe with an Oracle-based data warehouse. The first parts of the project will be going live
by the end of the year.
