Axa acquires Abeille Re as Suez exits market

FRANCE‘S Axa insurance group challenged Scor for the leadership of the French reinsurance sector yesterday by announcing it has signed a deal with Compagnie De Suez to buy its reinsurance subsidiary Abeille Re.
