Russian south faces more woe

RUSSIA’S south, already laid low by the worst flooding in a decade, is in for more bad weather. Yesterday, the Russian emergencies
minister was ironically forced to abandon his plane and take to the road in the Stavropol region during a half-hour hailstorm
that sent stones the size of eggs hammering down, damaging 1,000 homes and cutting off power supplies.
