Security on the Internet is a major concern in e-business and a heading on many fraud risk managers’ agendas. Terry Corbitt provides an overview of the encryption solution.

The rapid growth of the Internet and the business world’s focus on electronic commerce make encryption vital for security. Daniel Koopman, electronic commerce consultant at KPMG recently observed that “Companies and customers have been deterred from trading over the Internet by security issues” and he went on to say, “In order to trade securely, users need their own digital identity to give legal effect to electronic messages.”
