European evidence warrant progress

The European Union (EU) Council of Ministers has agreed that a European Evidence Warrant system should enable police to demand objects, documents and data connected with financial fraud from across the EU. Ministers have agreed 32 offences for which warrants could be issued without the need for dual criminality; they include corruption, money laundering, counterfeiting, computer crime and forgery.
