Compliance Monitor
Further “made texts”
With N2 on the near horizon, the FSA Handbook is reaching its final form. The
Authorisation
and
Supervision
manuals are now “made text”. Few responses were received to the consultation and the FSA says it will issue revised guidance
once all secondary legislation is available. In the interim UK firms with questions about their passporting rights should
contact their usual supervisor. The significant changes include revision, in the Authorisation Manual, of the Direction, which
means that a Treaty firm will have to send a notice of intention as prescribed, including the data specified in the information
pack, rather than complete an application pack. In the Supervision manual the rules on changes in requisite details have been
replaced by guidance on EEA Passport Rights Regulations. Other changes reflect secondary legislation and include rules on
notice submission.
