Guidance Note on the application of the Electronic Transactions Ordinance to contract notes

The Securities and Futures Commission (‘SFC’) has published a ‘Guidance Note on the Application of the Electronic Transactions Ordinance to Contract Notes’ (‘the Guidance Note’) on 15 August 2000. With the enactment of the Electronic Transactions Ordinance (‘ETO’), it is now possible for dealers to issue electronic contract notes.
