Basel: The fallout begins

Since the last edition of FRI , published just after the announcement by the Bank for International Settlement (BIS), there have been further developments in the area of capital standards. As mentioned last month, the deadline for the implementation of the new accord has been moved back a year to 2005, to allow extra time for yet more consultation.
