It is widely acknowledged that reform of UK consumer credit regulation is well overdue.The complexity of the current law makes it difficult for lenders to ensure that they comply with the Consumer Credit Act 1974 (CCA), especially the large number of requirements and regulations relating to the underlying agreements themselves.
