The Securities and Futures Commission (“SFC”) announced the publication of the Companies Ordinance (“the Ordinance”) (Exemption of Companies and Prospectuses From Compliance with Provisions Notice) (“the Notice”) on 30 March 2001 in the Government Gazette. The Notice has been tabled before the Legislative Council and, subject to negative vetting, the Notice will become effective on 11 May 2001.
