The Basel Capital Review – A Progress Report

In January the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision issued its second Consultative Package on the new Basel Capital Adequacy Accord. The Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) has been following the consultation process with a series of Roundtables bringing together policy-makers, academics and representatives of the banking industry, and in its third meeting considered this last Consultative Package. In this article Moritz Meier-Ewert highlights the main concerns that were voiced during this session.
