Seibels Bruce stays profitable

US insurance holding company Seibels Bruce may be having problems with regulators, but it is still managing to remain profitable. The group produced net income of $1.8m in the third quarter and $5.3m for the first nine months of the year even though some of its underwriting subsidiaries are under administrative supervision in their home state of South Carolina.
