Canada: stormy weather caused problems for road and ferry traffic in parts of British Columbia. High winds forced BC Ferries to suspend all sailings between Swartz Bay and Tsawwassen until further notice. Environment Canada posted wind warnings from the Queen Charlotte Islands to the south coast, through the Fraser Canyon and into the Chilcotin. A wind warning predicted gusts could go as high as 70 km/h on some parts of Vancouver Island.
