Locktons’ China desk

Insurance brokers Locktons has set up a unit in London to support its clients that are establishing themselves in China. Lockton International Global Risks executive chairman, Paul Jack said that its China desk in London will enable Locktons to be more involved in Chinese business and help to provide introductions to business opportunities from Chinese insurers and brokers. The manager of the China desk, Jiong Zhang, will also help spearhead Lockton’s corporate development into the Asian region as whole. Mr Zhang will provide co-ordination across the range of Lockton services to the broker’s Asian clients and assist with introductions to other Chinese business, particularly reinsurance. Mr Zhang, who worked for five years as both a broker and an underwriter in the London market, will report to Mr Jack. Mr Zhang also holds a China insurance broker license.
