Azerbaijan: heavy snowfall paralysed road and air traffic in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The snow in the streets was more than 30 centimetres deep. Azerbaijani Airlines (AZAL) said domestic flights were cancelled, and international flights were made with long delays. The minister of education ordered classes at schools cancelled for three days. Electricity and gas supply problems were reported in some parts of Baku. The Emergencies Ministry was asked to help clean the streets from snow.
