Guy Carpenter fac unit makes new appointments

Guy Carpenter & Company, part of the Marsh & McLennan Companies, has made two key appointments to GCFac®, its dedicated facultative reinsurance unit in London. Jon Parker will join the firm as senior vice president and leader of the Latin American team in London, focusing on building GCFac’s business, capabilities and resources across Latin America. He joins from HSBC Insurance Brokers. Paula Smith joins GCFac as senior vice president and head of its London-based terrorism practice and also previously worked at HSBC Insurance Brokers.
