Willis buys Swiss broker

Willis has doubled the size of its operations in Switzerland on acquiring Burkart Risk Consulting & Partner through its local branch, Willis AG. BRP’s general manager, Andreas Burkart, will join Willis AG’s management team along with BRP’s Jürg Amrein and Felix Knöpfel. Yves Guélat, chief executive officer of Willis AG, said BRP will provide it with an opportunity to expand in the middle market.
