Local insurers branch out with regional acquisitions

Triglav, Slovenica Zivljenje and Sava Re are buying up smaller insurers in former Yugoslavia, Romania, Bulgaria and Slovakia

One of the smaller members of the EU, with a population of 2 million, Slovenia has been a member of the community since May 2004. The economy progressed fast enough to supersede its currency, the tolar, to replace it and use the Euro.
