Rising cost of healthcare most pressing concern
The rising cost of US healthcare is a more pressing concern for most Americans than the war in Iraq, the rising cost of fuel
and the threat of global warming. According to a recent survey sponsored by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and conducted
by Harris Interactive 85% of US adults identified the rising cost healthcare as their chief concern. Indeed, anxiety about
healthcare provision predominated over concern at the rising cost of fuel (which 80% of adults identified as their main cause
of concern), the war in Iraq (79%) and the threat of global warming (61%).
