Chubb Corporation

The deal with Harbor Point means that Chubb will refrain from writing reinsurance business directly. However, for a transition period of up two years, Harbor Point has the right to write specific reinsurance business on behalf of Chubb

The US property and casualty insurer Chubb Corporation wrote a gross premium income of $13.3bn in 2005. Although this figure was marginally less than the $13.4bn written by Chubb in 2004, the group was nevertheless able to increase its net premium income by 2% from $12.1bn to $12.3bn over the period.
