21.2, building collapse, fatalities

Turkey: a five-story apartment building collapsed in Istanbul, killing at least two people and injuring more than two dozen others. A city worker who chanced to walk by saw the building swaying and alerted people inside by shouting and throwing stones at the windows. Some people managed to safely flee, but the dead and injured had become trapped on a stairway as the building toppled. At least 27 people were living in the building and several people were in a coffee shop in the basement.
