EC seeks to improve patient mobility rights

Legislative proposals are expected later this year to ease the path of patients seeking reimbursement for treatment abroad

The European Commission is planning a package of legislation aimed at untangling issues facing health insurers and social security schemes over patients’ rights to travel to another EU country for reimbursable treatment.
