China: three people were killed and 18 others injured in a collision between a hydrofoil and general cargo vessel QD 01 off the coast of Quang Ninh province. Thick fog had obstructed the hydrofoil crew’s view and caused the accident. The accident occurred off Mong Cai town where the hydrofoil, with 30 people on board, was arriving from nearby Ha Long Bay while the freighter was headed for Hai Phong city.
