Strong non-life underwriting results as claims ratio improves
The claims experience improved in most lines, helped most by a 60% drop in weather related losses
Japan’s non-life insurance business in fiscal 2005 (year ending March 2006) achieved a modest increase in net premium income
by just 1% to Yen7,485bn (US$62.06bn), which was an improvement on the small (0.3%) decline during the previous year.
