Slovakians spend one-third less on insurance than Czechs

Life insurance proved to be the driver of market growth last year as liability and health insurance tipped for future success

Since joining the European Union in 2004, Slovakia’s growth has been measured but there are high hopes that this leaves plenty of room for development. Premium income of the 27 member companies of the Slovak Insurance Association reached SK50,519mn in 2005, an increase of over 5% on the previous year.
