US: a Learjet registered to religious broadcaster Pat Robertson crashed in Long Island Sound while flying in heavy fog, killing both pilots. All three passengers escaped without serious injury. Mr Robertson was not aboard. The twin-engined aircraft went down a half-mile short of the runway at Groton-New London Airport. The aircraft is registered to Mr Robertson’s company, Virginia-based Robertson Asset Management. The cause of the crash was unclear.
