Argentina’s insurers record premium income up 3% in 2005

Premium income in Argentina during 2005 totalled 14.02bn pesos (approximately US$4.67bn), 3% more than in 2004 according to
information released by the Insurance Department. These figures include more than 13% in taxes. According to market sources,
Argentina has the highest premium tax rate in Latin America.
