UK: train services were severely disrupted after separate accidents in Devon in which a woman was killed and a car plunged onto the line. The woman, in her 40s, was killed at Sprey Head, Teignmouth, Devon, when she was hit by a train. All services from Plymouth to London were affected, with cancellations and delays. The line between Newton Abbot and Totnes were cleared after a car rolled on to the line. Two people in the car were slightly injured in the accident. The unnamed woman killed in Teignmouth may have been taking a short cut or trying to retrieve her dog from the tracks when she was hit.
