The short history of insurance and reinsurance electronic processing platforms, which began in the early nineties with projects like LIMNET, has up to now been dominated by one theme: the struggle to survive. It is, not surprisingly, a history littered with casualties: FacWorld, Myreinsurance, eFac, Smartfac, ifac, Reway, Risk2Risk, Elrix, Risk Transfer Exchange and, much more recently, Inreon and Kinnect.
