18.2, sinking, fatalities Sicily: the search for eight missing crew members of general cargo ship Tor I continued for a second day after the vessel sank in heavy storms. Tor I was navigating the waters between Sicily and Malta carrying a shipment of wood to Tunisia when a strong wave is suspected to have displaced the cargo causing the ship to list on its side and capsize. The eight sailors were reported to be of Syrian and Lebanese nationality.
