Plenty of opportunities for Bermudian start-ups in buoyant reinsurance market
The new wave of Bermudian reinsurers set up in the aftermath of 11 September, have made their mark. Five of them have published
interim results for the six months to 30 June which reveal that they wrote total gross premiums of $2.2bn. Yet they have not
established themselves at the expense of their longer standing competitors, most of whom have enjoyed buoyant revenue and
profit growth.
