Consumer groups intensify offensive against terror legislation
Consumer groups, led by the Consumers Federation of America (CFA), have condemned the terror legislation passed by the Senate
two weeks ago. The protests, which are intended to produce last minute amendments to the bill in the crucial committee stages,
highlight the fact that taxpayers will have to foot the bill for future terror losses at a time when most businesses have
been able to obtain terror insurance. The legislation will now move to a joint House of Representatives (Congress)-Senate
Conference Committee.
