Mexican car insurance

Mexico’s insurance industry association has been in talks with several state governments about the possibility of mandatory car insurance cover for third-party damages. This is an important problem for the Mexican insurance industry as only 36% of Mexico’s 15mn cars are insured. The laws will need to lay down fines and penalties for not carrying insurance, the association argued.
