XL moves house in Bermuda

Bermuda-based XL Capital has moved its operations from Cumberland House to XL House located near the centre of the island’s capital Hamilton. The new building, which was purpose-built for XL, houses all of the company’s 265 staff from all of its arms that are based in Bermuda. They include XL Insurance, XL Investments, XL Re (formerly XL Mid Ocean Re), Latin American Re, Element Re, XL Financial Assurance and XL Financial Solutions. XL chief executive Brian O’Hara said the move would help the company achieve “valuable administrative and operational efficiencies”.
