Mexican insurance

The Mexican financial services authorities and insurance industry chiefs have formed a joint commission to discuss the best way to implement proposed changes to Mexico s insurance laws. The changes are part of a government plan to reform the entire financial services sector. However, things have changed in Mexico. It is no longer a de facto one-party state. For the bill to be passed by a Congress controlled by the opposition party, it is now vitally important the government reaches solid agreements with insurance industry chiefs and other financial services sector representatives on the shape and scope of the new laws.
