Rugby injuries

New Zealand s state-owned Accident Compensation & Insurance Corporation, (ACC) has joined forces with the New Zealand Rugby Football Union in a drive to reduce rugby injuries. In conjunction with the Rugby Football Union it will launch a series of nationwide seminars on injury prevention. These will be compulsory for coaches and referees. Teams will be banned from playing until their coach attends. There will also be a 24-hour helpline to advise players on treatment of injuries.
