Hibernian s non-life profits fall
Hibernian Group, CGNUs Irish subsidiary, has reported a 7% increase in operating profits to I£95.8mn (US$112.2mn) in 2000.
But this result conceals a sharp divergence between life and non-life performance. Operating profit from life business improved
by 28% to I£88.4mn while operating profits in non-life collapsed from I£24.1mn in 1999 to I£7.2mn.
